New for 2022 – Underused Housing Tax (UHT)
Affects all Corporations and Individuals owning residential properties.
A form needs to be filed by April 30, 2023 that is based on the calendar year 2022.
A separate form needs to be filed by each owner for each property.
Minimum Penalties per form not filed = $5,000/individuals or $10,000/corporations
If you jointly own a residential property, that is not your principal residence,
please provide us with a copy of your 2022 Property Tax Notice of Assessment.
Also provide the number of days it was vacant during 2022.
Please provide the information as soon as possible.
